Studies on prostate cancer and hematological changes in the factors according to the change in prostate volume

Abstract
Purpose: To evaluate the association was whether with prostate cancer and hematological parameters depending on the size of the prostate.

Materials and Methods: During the period January to December 2014 transrectal ultrasound and prostate biopsy, were analyzed retrospectively and then targeting patients underwent 882 people with a blood test. Measuring the Total Volume and Central Volume of prostate and prostate divided into left and right zones, each 6 each of 12 tissue obtained by biopsy were asked to refer to the result by reading the pathology. Biopsy results and age according to the size of the prostate, prostate-specific antigen, bilirubin, creatinine, albumin, protein, blood levels were analyzed, such as hemoglobin, and platelets.

Results: In the case of prostate volume greater than 20 ml in volume when the basis of age is 1.03 times more than 41.00 ml, Central Volume In the case of volume 21-30ml 1.71 times, 31-40 ml of 2.39 times the case, not less than 41ml was 3.29 times. Biopsy results in prostate volume were 41.00 ml if there is more than the occurrence of prostate cancer than 1.87 times higher than 20 ml.

Conclusion: The age is increasing volume of the prostate is to be increased, the greater the volume of the prostate was higher the probability of prostate cancer. If you suspect prostate volume by transrectal ultrasonography and conduct ongoing digital rectal examination in the 30ml or more men to biopsy is believed to be helpful in the early diagnosis of prostate cancer.
